Trustee and Steering Group Recruitment

Shine Lincolnshire are recruiting volunteer trustees and steering group members to our board

Steering Group Members bring local information and personal experience of themselves and others to discussion to enable Trustees to make informed decisions for the Charity
 

What you will be doing

 Trustees’ 6 main duties

  1. Ensure your charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit
  2. Comply with your charity’s governing document and the law
  3. Act in your charity’s best interests
  4. Manage your charity’s resources responsibly
  5. Act with reasonable care and skill
  6. Ensure your charity is accountable

Skills, experience and qualities needed

We are extremely interested in people with spare time who can fundraise and/or bid write for the Charity
 

When and where

Regular meetings held every six weeks in Lincoln plus work outside of the meetings on specific projects and/or fundraising/promotional events
 

Support offered

Out of pocket expenses, training, further study
 

What you could get out of it

Helping others as well as yourself.  A sense of achievement is good for your own mental wellbeing.  Looks good on a CV too
 

Other relevant information

DBS check may be required in certain circumstances
